Datsuki absorbs some energy from Tessaiga and they run off into the forest. Shippou said how that trap was his idea and he was tired of him always picking on him. Shippou then assumes by her smell that she had a father and just recently lost him. Mujina says this is true and the only reason she's trying to strengthen her sword is because she wants revenge. Shippou, understanding her situation, says he would help her absorb energy from Tessaiga. When Shippou set another trap for Inuyasha, Sango and Miroku realize that it's Shippou doing all of this. By now, Inuyasha gets fed up and tries to use his Wind Scar, but it was weak since the sword has been losing energy. Mujina and Shippou appear and everyone is shocked about Shippou betraying them, but he said he had a good reason for doing so. Mujina tells Shippou that her sword, Daisuki, had absorbed Inuyasha's Wind Scar. Shippou asks her why would she do such a thing and she tells him that she wants to rule the world. Shippou gets confused because he thought that she wanted revenge for her father's death, but she properly informs him that her father had died 100 years ago from food poisoning. Shippou tries to attack Mujina, but Inuyasha appears and Mujina is shocked because she hit him with the Wind Scar. He then asks her to try the Wind Scar again, and she does a second time, but Inuyasha easily blocks the attack, blocking it from him and Shippou. As it seems, she can't properly weild the attack even though she has absorbed it. Inuyasha asks Shippou if he should kill Mujina, but Shippou says he should be killed as well if that happens since he was helping her. Mujina then takes Shippou and says that she'll kill him if Inuyasha doesn't hand over Tessaiga. Inuyasha punches Mujina and then that reveals Mujina's true form, a fat tanuki. Inuyasha noted that he knew it wasn't his true form all along because he recognized the scent from earlier today. Inuyasha asks Shippou again if he wants "Mujina" dead, but he doesn't mind anymore. Inuyasha goes after Mujina with his Tessaiga, but Mujina says that Tessaiga isn't strong enough. Inuyasha ignores this comment and slices Daisuki in half, and Tessaiga's demonic energy flows back into its sword. Shippou apologizes about everything that has happened, but Inuyasha just brushes it off and says that it's okay. Miroku picks up the broken blade and asks everyone else if they should investigate the sword to see where it was from...
